If you guys could see what a packrat did to the insulation under my hood, you'd be glad to have a cat sitting on your truck.

Speaking of cats and rats, if three cats can eat three rats in three minutes, how many cats will it take to eat 100 rats in 100 minutes?

3... . but they would be awfully full

OK, I'm stupid.

Shall we get back to protecting our trucks from the fierce 4 legged felines, or should I move this to "Other" forum?

You aren't stupid. The answer is three - it's those same three cats. A couple of others got it and one even provided an RPM analogy (rats per minute). Kinda fun, don't you think?

At any rate, this should end it.

Food for thought

For the cat owners out there . . . I've had plenty of problems with neighborhood cats. They tore up the seats in my boat and p*ss*d all over the carpet even though I had the boat tarped. I've also found them on top of my vehicles. I spoke to two of my neighbors with offending cats and they were not sympathetic or helpful to my problem with their animals at all. In fact their attitude seemed to be that because they are cats they have some kind of God given right to roam the neighborhood and get on peoples vehicles. Perhaps instead of shooting the cats with a paintball gun we need to start shooting the cat owners with one. After all, I'm quite certain that if one of these cat owners came outside in the morning to find my German Shepherd perched on top of their vehicle they would think this was absolutely outrageous! :--) To the cat owners out there - - - control your animals please! If you can't confine and control them then get a dog for God sakes!

That's an easy problem to fix. Get a pet carrier or two, and when the cats show up, perhaps because there is a can of cat food in the carrier, you shut the door and deliver them to the local Animal Control center. Turn them in as strays, go home and wait for the fun to start. If you're in a good mood you go outside when your neighbors are looking for thier cats and tell them that you took a couple of strays in earlier. If you're in a bad mood you say nothing, but sit outside with a beer and watch them look for their kitty. If you're in a really foul mood you sit out there with your beer and look real evil, laughing occasionally. Pick your teeth with a toothpick, too. It will really make your neighbors wonder...

cats bombs away

Well I read all the posts,

I didn't see listed what my older brother would do with unwanted cats...

First he would catch the misplaced / misguided Cat, then feed it a 50 - 50 mix of Ex-lax and a good grade Cat food. He would then place the stray Cat into the OWNERS car for a over night stay. That way he would not in danger the Cat from the high day heat inside the car.

Between the howling and the on going need for a courtesy wipe / self cleaning itself of all of the soiled body parts. Things got real messy come first light.

This might change the Cat lovers thoughts of a free roaming Cat.

Disclaimer,

Please check any and all State and local Ex-lax / Stray Cats Laws before attempting any Royal Flush / Puss with dirty Boots.

Also, My Dog loves ALL of the stay Cats that wander into my fenced in yard.

Good Night.

Go to an outdoor/hunting supply store and get some coyote scent (urine). Wear gloves and don't spill it, but put some around where the truck is located. Most cats will keep a wide berth from a predator.

Otherwise, deep pan, about 20 minutes at 350 degrees... ;-)

Shoot the damn things when they come in the yard. A single shot 20gage loaded with #4 shot should do it. Damn cat's always have the opinion that if it enters their head they can do it. Kinda like an American woman.

Kidnap the thing

Kidnap the damn cat and send 'im to me. Maybe he'll eat the rat that's been getting into the insulation. Oh, could you wait until it gets cold before you send 'im? That's when rats start looking for warm places to bed up at night.

How long you reckon that'll take?

One cat... . one rat... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... . ??

cats for profit

If there are any Asian restaurants in your area, trap the little critters & sell them. :D

I used to have a neighbors cat come over & sleep on the roof of my Ford that I had at the time. He would pee down the windshield rather than get off the truck to go. Maybe he was smarter than I thought, tryin to tell me about my choice of trucks at the time.

No, not to smart for he thought he could walk on water. Found him one day floating in our pool under the solar cover. He'd been there all weekend, we were out of town so I could'nt get any $$ for him at the local suey establishment.

He's a big rat, and meaner than hell. I killed his twin brother, but only after he'd eated two packages of D-Con. It took a big trap and 4 days to get the sucker. In the meantime, he was tearing away insulation and using it to make a nest in my wheel well.

Even the crows wouldn't touch him when I laid his body out on a rock. I hope whatever cat somebody sends him to me is a big one.

Mothballs

How do you get a cat to eat mothballs? Or do you put 'em up the other end? I'll bet that'll put a cat in overdrive! Who holds the cat down while all this is goin' on? Hoo-BOY! I gotta big picture of this right now. Yes sir-ree! I'll bet it takes two or three people wearin' gloves! Hee-hee-hahahahahaha! That's a good one! Mothballs!

Aim away from the truck, there was a famous episode here a while back where a member's truck was wounded whilst said member's father was taking a shot at a (?) woodchuck or other type of varmint.
