Phila/ South Jersey Chapter

Briar,
I am in Tennessee. However, I am already in a regional club. It is the Southeastern Turbo Diesel Registry(SETDR). I don't know if it is too far for you guys to drive, but most of the meetings have been in the Atlanta area. Most members are from Georgia, but I am from TN, one is from SC, and I think one is from Florida. We have been struggling with interest as of late, but the site is first class. You can find it at:
www.setdr.org
Possibly we can organize into northern and southern divisions if you guys want to have weekly meetings. Anyway, before you start another club, check us out. Whatever you do, let me know what you think.

Almost forgot, my name is Paul and I go by Paul G on the SETDR site. Hope to see you there.

Doc, no way man ! Got too much invested in friendship with all you guys in the GLTDR! I'm in the GLTDR for the long haul. That's priority one for me... . but would like to have a small semi-local group in this area just the same ! If I hopped ship, you wouldn't hear about it here first. Just about have to be a fool to walk away from such a great club, ya know !

Gee thanks Doc, now you got the revenooers on my butt, I'll have to get them DD Stage 3's installed ASAP just so I can out run 'em.
Ya know that path in the woods on the back 40 that done leads up to Pappy's still? It don't lead back down !
Free 'shine to the next 5 prospects in this area to sign up as charter members!

Where and when, just let me know. I can't make the Atlanta stuff (the wife won't let me venture out that far, espcially since we just had the first kiddo. I work all over SW VA, Eastern KY, and live in Kingsport.

Briar Hopper - seems to me there is someone down around Dandridge, TN that is a memeber of the TDR, but I can't remember where I saw it. Maybe it was in one of the articles or something. I'll have to look. It may be next week before I get to look, I'm headed out on vacation till early next week. I think there are one or two members from the Bristol area also.

Okay DES, cool, you round up a few in your area, and I'll do the same up here. TradedV10 and I may be meeting soon, I'll email details so you can join us. Feel free to email him, he's very interested in setting this whole thing up !
Wayne, I thought it was more than 3 miles, #ad
but come on across the river. Looks like we're gonna bleed a few boundary lines!
Is Kentucky "lower Indiana" or are you living in "upper Kentucky"?

Well, Tom, you do know Indiana is getting a new Zoo, they are fencing in Kentucky. #ad

That is the only way indiana will go south of the ohio river. But if ya want me to, I'll claim to be from Sunbright, TN, where most of my family lives.

Des you are right, there was an article or letter from someone in Dandridge, TN. I remember it because I was thinking, Where the heck is Dandridge? His name is Jim Anderson and he wrote the Turbo TIps in issue 28. My brother and I are located in Western TN (God's country) but we flatlanders might could make a trip or two to the hillbilly country... LOL E-mail me.

TNHotShot, Dandridge is just off of I40, east of the Pigeon Forge exit. Exit 417 I believe. I'll try to get in contact with Jim and see if he is interested. If I can't find his e-mail, I'll contact Rob and see if he knows how we can get hold of Jim.

Where do we want to meet? Somewhere that is somewhat central to all of us I suppose. Any ideas?

If you want to get in touch with Jim, look on the homepage of this site. Then go to "contact us". He is listed as the technical contact. I have never talked to him, but I'll give it a try.

m. c. chaney - I grew up in Irondale, Alabama, just across Birmingham from you... lived there for 18 years. I sure do miss it ! sure hope you can join us, you're more than welcome. Check out the SETDR, they have their meetings mostly in Atlanta, not too far from you. Feel free to email me, DES, or Traded V10 if any questions... .

Well it looks like I won't be able to help with trying to get a local chapter off the ground. I've been transfered to Longview, Texas and will be moving the family in mid October. Sorry guys, I was really looking forward to getting a local chapter started. If you're ever in the Longview area give me a shout.
