Key FOB Remote Question Please

A question to the forum please. Last night I decided that I had, had enough of the panic button on the Key FOB and made the decision to disable it with a piece of scotch tap over the electrical contact on the circuit board. While making this mod, I noticed that there is a 4th set of contacts on the board and a 4th button in the rubber molding that would be located under the insignia on the Key FOB. This would be between the Lock button and the Panic button. So the question is this, would anybody know what this 4th switch is for I make the assumption that it has some sort of function that is usable, but what would the function be???

Isuspect it's to pop a trunk. I bought one on ebay with that extra button and works fine on my pickup.

Pop a Trunk I should have thought about that. Hmmmmm wonder if we could set up the tail gate to do an automatic drop down

Wrong, that's the button for the bat cave. I thought everybody knew that.

It might be interesting to find an accessory that could be used on the truck that the button could activate. Problem is, what could we use it for. Hood lock maybe or fuel cut out. Hmmmm Fuel cut out, anit theft, Hmmmmm

I am guessing that the electronics on the truck won't support the 4th button, the others will work fine, but that the truck computer won't operate the 4th.

I would think that the 4th function might be there, just not wired up to anything. It would be interesting to find out. Wonder if there is anybody on the forum that would know about the receiver module and it's conections and such
