Key Fobs

Is there anything that be done, other changing the battery, to the fob, or the truck receiver, to make it work more reliably? I've changed the battery more than once, but it doesn't seem to make a deference. Some days it works just fine, but on other occasions I have to hit lock, unlock multiple times before it responds. Then, once inside I have to do the same before it will start. States key fob not detected! This is on a 2015 Eco Diesel 1500.

About the same. I'm carrying both, and try one for a few times, then switch to the other for a few. sometimes I have to do that several times before I get any action.

What is concerning is the key fob not detected for the passive anti-theft system on both key fobs.

If it was my problem, the easiest route would be to get a new key fob and see if it acts the same way.

@rshowalter, Have you disconnected the batteries and let the truck do a reboot? Sometimes that will correct the gremlins that tend to pop up! Also, do you have AlfaOBD software for your truck? With Alfa you can program your own FOB's and save! I got a couple of FOB's off of EBAY and had no issue programming them with AlfaOBD. Also did one for a Chrysler 300 without issue. I have 4 FOB's for my truck. 2 factory and 2 aftermarket. AlfaOBD is a great tool for your truck. The software works with Android and windows. Can be a phone or tablet. I got the MX+ Bluetooth adapter for truck connection that comes with a generic app to use on any vehicle for reading codes. Hope this helps.

It's a dealer job, seems something with the antennas at the car is of.
The fobs are recognized passively without pushing any button at all.
If this does not happen with both fobs the problem is to search at the vehicles side.

Only exempt - a jammer in the area.

Edit: I have that system in my Durango and it is 100% reliable and works always, not a single stumble in 10 years. Grab handle, door is open, push button, drive away.
Remote start - 200ft no problem, always first try.
