Keyless entry - Tamper Alert

Just started having a problem with my keyless entry. If my truck sits for a few days, when I try to use the keyless entry to unlock the doors, the tamper alert sounds. The first time it happened, I thought I had inadvertently hit the panick button, so I disregarded the horn honking as being my fault. This all started this past Monday, and has since happened two more times. After driving the truck for a while, I cannot replicate the problem by using the keyless remote.

Nothing is left plugged in. Only difference is a Kenwood stereo, and Prodigy brake controller, but they were installed a few days after purchasing the truck back in April of this year.

Any ideas on what the cause is? Possible battery/ies low/drained?

I purchased that alarm from the dealer and had problems also. I hooked it up alright and did everything and the alarm and shock sensor work and it disarms but after you disarm, you can't start it. ??? Wonder what the problem is, I have since disconnected the alarm from power and the steering column plug set so I can drive it.

I am thinking of just pulling the whole thing out and forgetting it. I have a thing called the Autolock

www.autolock.com

It hooks to the clutch or brake pedal to either prevent it from being able to start for the clutch or prevent the person from being able to get the vehicle in gear for the Auto. It wedges between the floor and the pedal and holds it up. Slot style locking to the pedal prevents it from being able to be removed.

Anyway, I use this now. . let me know what you do about your alarm.

Mine does it too! Usually I have the phoes plugged in so I think that when they ring or fully charged the chang e in current causes the alarm to sense tamper.

Along these lines, as an additional level of anti-theft security, I've used a SECOND off-on switch wired in series with the clutch switch to add to the existing system - the added switch can be placed in or outside the vehicle, which then will not start until the second switch is in the on position...
