Keyless entry

I just recently found out that the radar on an aircraft carrier and various other military ships will jam your keyless entry like it's cool. I work right across form Naval Air Station North Island and park on a pier that the Coast Guard occasionally uses to moore their ships. I have to put the remote up to the window on the drivers side and push the button frantically to get the door to open. Then the tamper alert goes off. It's kinda frustrating.

Jason, did you start glowing or feel warm to the touch from the micro wave bombardment? Chris

A friend who worked for Raytheon told me that the cockpit glass on fighter jets is laced with gold to keep radar jammer from frying the pilot.

Maybe if you gold leaf your truck the remote will work.

I haven't been feeling extra warm lately, but I have had a couple of friends tell me about their experiences with being in the radiation zone of a 1500 watt microwave transmitter.



The Nimitz will be deployed soon and hopefully that'll solve the problem.
