Keyless Entry

My truck did not come equipted from the factory with keyless entry. I am wondering where the best place is to purchase the dodge parts to install keyless entry. Does anyone have the part numbers for this? Is it an easy install? Do you have to take it to the dealer to get the remotes programed.



I do know there is a plethra of aftermarket options for keyless entry. If someone has one that stands out feel free to suggest.

I had the Viper ES550 alarm/keyless entry installed. It worked great. It also had the auto start but with your 5-speed, it's not an option. You can add modules to control other functions i. e. roll up or down windows, sensor alarms, etc.



What I really liked was after the vehicle started rolling, the doors locked automatically and unlocked when you turned off the engine. When I sold my truck I really wanted to take it with me but my new truck already had the option.
