The New D/FW Dyno results....March 16

George00,,I wasn't trying to be so blunt when I addressed the question, but, for some reason it came out that way,,The Big Rig nats are next and I have a few irons in the fire I'm trying to get lined up for us this year, more info to follow,,Got the heat on the promoters of the Carlisle Mopar event now, want them to allow us to spin the rollers in front of the national magazines,,Last year they(magazine reps) told me tuned up diesels will not sell magazines,,When I got one to chat with me later he told me that there was little or no interest for this stuff(diesels),,I explained to him after a walk over the hill and counted way over a 100 Ram Cummins trucks sitting he was wrong and he showed some more interest,,May want to chat with him before our next Kauffman meet and invite him to see what its really about,,One thing I was told(off the books) from the owner of the Dynojet that was there was they,Carlisle mgt,did not want to see their HP/Torque challenge won by a diesel(HMMMM,guess it would have been ok if a ricer kicked the v-8 boys though),,Will keep everyone posted on whats up,,**ICEMAN** Ernie has already told me bring all we can,he'll find a spot for everyone, the more the merrier(we may need a shuttle cart for going back and forth to our trucks),,Any of you guys who live in the York/HBG/Lancaster area and have a question drop me a note and I'll make sure you get a way to reach me for your questions to be answered,,Well off to bed I go,phew, what a week... ... .

No offense taken Hammer. I wont be able to make the Big Rig nationals since it is spring turkey season, although I have always wanted to see this so you never know... ... But the event in Carlisle sounds like a winner especially since its in my back yard. And I have been looking for a place to get my truck on a dyno and find out what she's really doing. No interest in deisels in magazines? Yea right, tell that to the TDR's 12,000 members!

and besides, if them gassers can't run with the big dogs they will just have to stay on the porch. :D

Hammer,

The carlisle event sounds like a great time! I would love to show a few ricers what an old smokey diesel can do:eek:. Maybe by then I will have a few new goodies to help turn up the numbers... . ;)

Look forward to seeing all of you in April at the drags.

Doug

I jumped on the Carlisle web site carsatcarlisle.com. and saw they have an All-Chrysler event July 12th thru 14th. Looks fun.

If you've never been to Chryslers at Carlisle you are really missing a great show,,I've been to the Nationals many times and Carlisle is getting as big or bigger than them with alot less confusion going on,,The last two years my truck has copped back to back show field wins in 98 truck stock(1st place) and each year it gets harder to do,,The show last year was so big on Saturday when everybody was parked for you to do your judging of the classes your entry paper had on it,it took me the better part of 3 hours to cover all the trucks, jeeps, ricers and others I had to do,,Diesel Dale copped a 2nd place in the A-body modified with his 72 Hemi Dart and his wife has placed may times with numerous cars also,,Santa won with his truck(1st)and his totally boss 34 Dodge(1st) also,,As it gets closer I'll post the info on it and the Thursday show at a local dealership,,So,if Mopars and fun is what you want this is the real deal from Thursday nite till Sunday afternoon its a real good time,,One last thing on this and off I go,there is a club challenge for membership in attendence with a plaque given to winning club, the Northeast Hemi Owners(one I'm also a member of)has had a stranglehold on it for WAY too many years now, with the national membership we have we could blow them out in a year or so with all the members we have in the TDR,just a thought... ... ... .
