Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Kick Down Cable Adjustment

I, at the very least need to check this adjustment. Can anyone explain to me how to go about doing this adjustment? Thanks

When the accelerator pedal is on the floor the kickdown cable is supposed to be as far as it can go. Have someone step on the gas, crawl underneath and see if the little lever on top of the manual shift lever is pulled all the way tight. Dont go too tight you will break the end of the cable hooked up at the engine.
