kickdown

My kickdown from overdrive to 3rd is too touchey,also if I have my foot on the gas I have to let off for it to go into overdrive. Is this a kickdown cable asjustment, or is it a TPS ajustment?

Gas, eh, I hope you're referring to propane or nitrous. Our trucks run on diesel fuel and have a throttle or a go-pedal.



Anyway, join the club on the 3-4 4-3 shift woes. The most likely problem is the TPS is fried, dirty, or out of adjustment. Had the same trouble with my rig. First time the TPS was fried, under warranty. Second time not under warranty. Still not working properly. Went back to the stealer for adjustment, still not right. Got mad and adjusted it myself. Works fine now . There has been lots of talk about the TPS and strange shift issues in this forum. Check out this recent thread.
