Kickin around the idea of an 04

I have a '98 12V Quad Cab 4x4 and have been thinking about getting a new "600". I have already e-mailed Tommygun and got a ball park figure. What I'd like is a 600 w/auto, what gears are you guys running? I would like to put some bigger tires on and wondering if a guy should get the 4:10's or the 3:73. I do some heavy trailer pulling in the summer, other than that It's my car.

Does B&W make the turn over ball for the new body style? I have on in my '98 and would have to get a new one.

What do you think a '98 Quad Cab 12V w 100,000 miles is worth?

Its real clean. Kinda hate to see it go, but we have a new member of the family coming and we need the room. (in the cab)

gpuller, I bought a new 600 2wks ago and traded my 01 duramax for it. The 600 is a great truck but fuel mpg sucks, I was getting 17 to 20 in the duramax and expected to get same or better from the dc, both are auto`s with 373`s. Taking it real easy I can get 11 to 14 with dc. ouch!! The dealer called me and wanted to know what kind of mpg I was getting with the auto, seems the word is out about the poor mpg. Maybe you should hold off for a couple of months and see if dc can fix the problem. my . 02 Hunter

I'm thinking of doing the same - letting the '01 Quad 4x4 go for the new 600 Dually (Camper & Towing Application)... . but the fuel mileage threads have been a concern for me... .



Have you placed your '98 in the classifieds here yet? I have - pending approval from the webmaster.

That mileage stinks I'll keep my 01 3500 auto. I have an Excursion 04 with 373's and it's about 7800 lbs and it get 22 mpg at 55 and 20 @65. I would have thought the 600 would be no worst cruising than the 01.

My milage is also lousy 11 to 13 , but some others are saying they are doing much better. I guess this means now when you buy a 600, you have to ask yourself, do I feel lucky? What a way to buy a new dodge. Hope DC is working on a fix before the word really gets out. Their next comercial ought to say, best in class but worst in mpg's.
