I finally got my PW injectors installed.
These are the mods:
Timing bumped ahead (don't know setting)
12CM Exhaust housing
Straight pipe 3 inch exhaust
K&N air filter
PW injectors
Mike Ramos (Northwest Bombers) and I took the truck out for a shakedown cruise after putting the injectors in. We run up I-84 4 miles to an underpass to cross over and head back. Underneath, I figured it was dry and clean. Not at all. I smoked the tires by punching it.
Finally, finding a clean strip at the rest area (unoccupied) I tried again to get a feel for the lag. The truck moves about 4 feet and then it spins. If you power brake, it spins instantly. (both tires)
Mike and I did a test run up to 60 from a standstill on a slight uphill incline. Without powerbraking, from idle, in gear, he hit the watch and I hit the pedal, we recorded under 10. 2 sec to 60.
I tried 2 runs of 1/4 mile on the odometer, but was not able to complete any of them. OD refused to shift with my foot buried and the truck ran at governor cutoff most of the last tenth mile
It still did 77-78 MPH.
Oh, yeah, this is at about 3000 feet elevation, and 32 degrees ambient temp.
