It's not just Iowa...



Most schools loose funding based on how students perform. Having students perform at a higher level may get you more money. Don't allow students to fail your school will look better and receive a higher state ranking. It's all crap!!!!!!!

Similar around here. My younger sister is a teacher so I hear a lot of stories. In her district, for example, teachers are not allowed to give failing grades, period. In other districts, it's even worse - you cannot reprimand a child by name in the classroom in some areas. If Billy keeps talking and being disruptive, all you can say is, 'everyone, please quiet down. ' Crazy...
