I know this has probably been hashed over a bazillion times, I'm going on a long trip and I would sure feel a lot better if I had a fairly easy to install kill switch somewhere.

I tried getting at the one on the clutch pedal, but phew! pretty tough.

Any suggestions out there? I'm open to just about anything.

Appreciate the help.

Joe,

If you mean you want to add a little theft prevention to your 2001 that you'll be leaving behind (not taking it with you on the trip), simply remove the fuel injection pump relay found in the PDC (Power Distribution Center) on the drivers side fender under the hood. Without it, the engine will crank but never start or run. It'd take someone really knowledgable of 24v Dodges to quickly figure out what's wrong, but for even more security, you could buy a spare relay from any auto parts store, clip off most of the blades so it can't work (thus creating a dummy relay), and install it in place of the original.

Regards,

John L.
