Killer Dowel Pin Jig

Hello:
Does anyone know where I can find the jig to drill the hole to secure the "killer dowel pin" on an 1989 Dodge Cummins turbo diesel?
I understand that there were a number of these available at one time.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Don't know of a jig ?? There is guts that drill and tap the outside of the housing were the pin is using a set screw make sure you tap it in first so its back n but its easier to use a price of metal and the bolt next to it to hold the metal over the pin

I removed the cover & tabbed it.
It wasnt hard.

This is the kit a lot of people use to tab the dowel pin. Like the patriot says it's not hard. You just need to find some time and a bit of patience. While you have the cover off, it wouldn't hurt to inspect, clean and retorque the rest of the gear case mounting bolts.

Why do a temporary repair on some thing like this? thats what it is. Your 70% there anyway with what you have to remove to set the gig in place.
Tab it and check the bolts inside holding the gear case in place, and replace the crank seal. Peirce of mind is worth a million words. Do it and forget about it. Four hours and your done.

Hardest part for me was getting the dang seal to start straight.
Other than that....cake.

As stated, the crank seal will test your patients. You are making the right decision read up on it, do it and for get it.

Thats my problem is keeping the seal strait there needs to be a better way there spendy to mess up on !!!
