The belt pulley on the end of the crank shaft

has 4 holes to bolt it on. will it go on only one way or does it matter

as long as the holes line up , does this pulley play any part in the balance of the engine took it off, to fix the KDP

the engine was turned over with out the pulley do not know which way it goes.

one more question what type of anti freeze do I use in the cummins & what ratio

This is a Early 98 twelve valve

need to change my Signature no longy have the 96 replaced with the 98

but do not know how could some one help me with this

I'll help some. The signature can be changed in your "user control panel" (button at the top of the page). Click on edit profile and change the sig.

Use a Cummins approved antifreeze in a 50:50 mix with distilled water. Most important is to stay away from well water with high mineral content.

I've fixed my pin but don't remember about the balancer. I think it would be pinned, keyed or mismatched holes if it had to be a indexed a certain way. Use low silicate antifreeze like Fleetguard Complete - 50/50 mix. 6 gal. total. Craig

The pulley will go on any way. If you have marked TDC on the pulley then you need to put it back the same way. If you have not done that then put it on any way you want.

As long as the holes line up on balancer pulley you are good to go... It does not matter which way you put it on.
