I noticed today that there is a kink in the plastic tube running from the manifold to the banjo bolt on the back of the AFC housing on the pump... . what is the importance of this tube... . i'm guessing that it possibly controls the movement of the diaphram and even though my gauge reads normal boost levels maybe this would lead to un-responsiveness in the mid-range? would i be able to replace this tube with a piece of the hose that came with my boost kit, it appears about the same diameter. . thanx for the input... .

Amazingly, I found it on the first try... exactly what i was looking for, thanks for pointing me in the right direction... I replaced my old pot metal one with this plastic one from dodge a couple of years ago, and no, it wasn't cheap, I wonder what made it kink though... .

The metal ones are pieces of junk, esp with as much as you play with your timing ;). The upgrades from Cummins are a rubber hose instead of pot metal, but they still break if you handle them wrong.
