KIT file format

Hey guys,



My wife bought a scrapbook program to use with the digital canon camera I got her for christmas. Well the program sucks. However it does have a good amount of backgrounds and borders. The problem is the file extension is KIT.



Whet the heck is this? Anybodys have a clue how to open these things? I want to save them as JPG so she can use them in other software.

Have you tried to just change the file extension to . JPG or . GIF?



This works on occasion for me (~30%)... it might work for you. Heck, it's worth a shot...

Quick fix

Hey Matt,



I tried that right away. I always use the cheat method on the first try. I even went on the net and looked for the extension and it's not listed anywhere. I think it must be a propriotary one.



Oh-well... . Might just have to spend the $95 to get the "other" program she wants. :{

My wife is into scrapbooking big time. She says to try saving as a zip file, then unzip it ... it should open.

She also has a Cannon... now she has the digital Rebel.

She uses Microsoft Digital Image Pro for all her work, plus she downloads huge amounts of stuff from the internet groups she belongs to... .

If your wife gets stuck she can send an e-mail to Debby at -- email address removed -- and maybe she can help her figure it out.

i'd be willing to bet if you searched the various peer to peer file sharing programs out there, you could find it for free... i did that when i was looking for some photo editing programs and got the following ones...

jasc paint shop pro 9

adobe photoshop 7

coral photo-paint 10...



not too bad for a few hours of downloading. . limewire is what i use.
