Wow what a difference. Of course the install couldn't get any easier. The turbo noise is pretty sweet also, might put the Silencer ring in again though. Truck does run alot better, much less spool time.
Thought some people might like to know

When you slipped your air filter into the turbo inlet hose, did you remember to first install a 1" wide piece if 4" exhaust pipe? This is so while you're tightening down the hose clamp, the connection of the air filter to the turbo hose doesn't collapse causing unfiltered air to get in.

side note: The first time I put my 0880 on I also had to put my silencer ring back in... way too much noise! I have since installed a Psychotty and can't imagine anyone ever enjoying the silencer ring removed while running the Psychotty.

Guys,

I have 99 3500 and would like a psychotty are system but I have Cummins E brake on my truck and the solenoid mounts where the psychotty air goes into the cowl also, I am afraid of the cowl induction due to water/snow getting into the aircleaner. Does the psychotty come with the air filter or is it just the holder??? Anyone running a different filter from stock and psychotty. I've upgraded my truck and I don't think the stock box is getting the job done.

thanks
Don

Don,

I am running both the Psychotty Air and Jacobs exhaust brake. I installed the PSA before I had installed the brake, but I knew long before that I would have to mount the solenoid in a different location.
When you remove the factory air box assembly, there is good flat space, and this is where I mounted my solenoid. Yes I had to cut and add wires to lengthen the wireharness and a longer vacuum hose.

You can get the Psychotty with the K&N filter or without if already have an RE-0880. To my knowledge,no other company is making a filter that it the same as the RE-0880,so you only have the K&N to choose from.

Opps, almost forgot! No,there is no problem with water, rain or snow getting into the air cleaner from the cowl area. There's a big lip and water goes arouond it. Also,if any water does get over the lip, then it simply runs out the bottom opening.
