Knock and rattle, now it's gone

A couple of months ago I started getting a loud knock and rattle kind of like a 2nd gen. It was much worse when cold. I was thinking it might be a dirty injector so I tried running it real hard and up against the governor in a lower gear. Well it seems it must have been some crap in the injector(s) because it is quiet again. Took a 2000+ mile trip over Christmas and mileage for the trip was 18. 4 and the truck runs great. Just turned over 40,000 miles and picked up the new 04 last night. Need to swap out some parts if the rain ever stops.

I have experienced the same knock, I think. After awhile, it went away, but every now and then I hear it knock again. I'm not worried. It's under warranty, so if an injector explodes out of the head it's not my problem!

My did the same thing, not to worry - it never came back.
