I'm running the Quad race box on the 100 H. P. setting and under WOT I am hearing a knock or some kind of noise that sounds like detonation. It does not seem to do it on the 65 HP or stock setting. I'm not running the 140 HP setting because it drains fuel pressure to nothing. (working on getting new pump now)

Could this be a fuel problem? I've read about the injectors making noise but I don't have any noise during idle or normal driving.

I'm running about 40 pounds of boost when it happens and fuel pressure is two PSI.

As an after thought I started hearing the noise after the turbo install. Could it be the wastegate I'm hearing?

I would doubt it has anything to do with the turbo itself. WIth that said lowering the drive pressure may allow you to hear more noise as it can actually make the engine itself slightly quieter.

Most likely you are hearing the injectors run at 25K with about 5 degrees of timing advance and a few mS of fuel stretch. The injectors will definately be louder at full throttle.

The other thing is that it could just be the exhaust pulses with a larger turbo housing? Never heard of this but I guess it is possible.
