Knocking in engine Help!

Hey all, I'll describe the situation first.

Just got truck back from dealership after having 2nd injector pump installed due to leaking problem.

Changed oil,filter, fuel filter, started truck went did some running about 15 miles below 45mph. Went to fill up since fuel level was 1/4 tank, turned the corner shifted through the gears to 3rd then going into 4th heard a bang like a ujoint broke, and felt it in the clutch pedal, then the knocking in the engine.

Pulled over called the dealer and a roll back... now it's at the dealership. My mechanic stated could be a failed injector but didn't understand why/how I could feel anything through the pedal. Could it cause a backfire ? that I felt ? any help on this would be great... .

I had just installed Edge Juice with controller but normally run it in stock or mileage mode not high or towing. Maybe I don't beat it hard enough???

I didn't have time to take the Edge Juice and etc. . out will they still warranty it ?

Ummm, I'm thinking they will probably look at your edge/juice application very closely and how it might relate to your problem. However, by law, they have to prove that the juice was the cause of the problem.

Always remember to yank any boxes prior to service, especially for engine work. I've heard that pressure boxes (J/A for '03-'04 uses pressure) can cause injectors to crack. If that's what's happened, I don't think they'll warranty it. They have to call DC. DC tells them to look for certain things to deny your warranty.



(I on the other hand, yank the boxes not for warranty, but to keep the techs from abusing my truck. My truck is beyond the point of hiding mods. )

Just called the dealer, he said I don't run it hard enough and it's got dirty fuel. I put cetane boost/cleaner on fill ups. So I guess I'll have to run it harder!!

That doesn't seem quite right considering the symptoms, but I suppose anything's possible.
