No one here is showing which programmer box you all are tuning you mods with. Like big turbo, big injectors, and much more need to fine TUNE with all that air and fuel. Cam with the right duration mit help alot with all of our mods using this ULS FUEL junk. Need to change fuel & air curve.

My mods are in my sig didn't have this particular noise with the original nozzles in it. Same boxes, turbo, etc.

more help

Mine started this noise right after i changed nozzles and 2 injectors.

Try a different box like VA or Smty. Ez had some problems with some type's mod setups. My truck is running with the new Smty beta 4x, no more noise much smoother (VERY HAPPY)Oo.

the last go round i had nothing but straight ULSD in it i ran out of 2stoke on the way back from NC this weekend. then i added it back in when i got home and filled up. the noise quieted down a whole lot.

noise is in all conditions and seems to disapear at higher rpms. my mods are in my sig. I pulled the bottom end and all is well. next is pull the heads and check for problems up top. possible valve lash, streched springs. I will check piston tops for abuse. head studs, II injectors, valve springs, at least as long as head is off. any info is appreciated at this point. I hate to throw money like darts at this problem.

Im having the same issues. Light throttle, lots of noise, and almost feels like a miss. the garder i push it, it seems to quiet down/go away. DonM just went through all 6, rebuilt 4 of them, and no change???#@$%!

I spent alot of time and effort to discover that I had starved a cylinder and burned a piston.

I'm waiting for my rebuild now. It will be 900+. Oo.

I blame the new Ultra Low sulfur fuel, it has poor lubricity from the lack of sulfur and it gells way to fast. I started running the stanadyne aditive and CA40G, my engine runs very smooth now after a few months of running the additives. I also run the Banks 6 gun and notice a little more knock when the banks is on levels 5 or 6, probably from the timing change. Try additives if you dont run any, this new fuel is junk. I work for Caterpillar and noticed a difference in fuel economy and sound on the CAT engines running ultra low fuel.

I've got one in my shop that has the exact same symptom! #1 injector line 'knock' and very loud. Runs normally.

We even swapped injs. 1 & 2 and the noise stays with the #1 line. What the hell???
