Just reinstalled everything after machining the head, and putting on twins. I have DD3's, a FASS, mad ecm, drag comp (turned off at the moment).

Before reinstalling the DD3's, I noticed that one of the holes, in one of the nozzles was blocked. I'm not sure by what. It only had 6 of 7 holes open. The other nozzles were all fine. I reinstalled them anyways, figuring that I would just order new nozzles or injectors anyways. Since I've been waiting on the new ones though, I've been running these.

I have a couple issues, but I'm not sure if it is from the nozzle, or something else.

The truck is hard to start when it's cold. Fine when it's warm.

There is a slight knocking sound, (NOT intermittent - very steady in timing. )

The truck also smokes (black) quite a bit now, even with the drag comp off, and only using light throttle. I know the turbo seals take a little while to break in, but this seems excessive.

Would all this be caused by that one nozzle being clogged? Could I have caused any damage by running it with that one hole blocked? I have been taking it very easy on the motor to break everything in otherwise...

Or should I be looking for something more serious?

Pulled off the intake, and now there's a ton of oil, everywhere in the intake. I guess that would explain the hard starting...

Since the twins I installed are brand new, and have are still in the break in stage,(they have about 75 miles on them now) is this normal?

How long till the seals in the turbos seat? Or do I just have bad seals from the start?

sounds like you have a turbo problem. they should not be leaking mass amounts of oil anywhere.

check the oil drains and make sure one of them is nt kinked. also, I hope you didnt run both turbo's into the one factory oil drain did you?

The oil drains are not kinked, and they both drain separately.

Not sure what would have caused it.

Any idea on the knocking/injectors?

Thanks.

Posted this elsewhere, but thought I'd put it here too for the sake of the thread title. I'm wondering if these may be related.

Just filled up with fuel at the pump, and when I started the truck, it knocked really bad for a second, started up, and billowed white smoke (A LOT), and started gushing fuel out of the top of the tank, and the fuel cap. I also checked the oil, and although it is brand new (so it is pretty clear to begin with), it also seems to be very thin. Although I cannot smell any fuel in it, I suspect that it may have some. Also, the vapor coming from the fuel tank seems to have a crankcase vent smell to it, like oil - not fuel.

Is it possible for the oil and fuel to be mixing somehow? I had a friend of mine suggest that a seal on the injection pump could be bad, and allowing crankcase oil/vapor into the return line of the injection pump.

What other way could they be mixing? I know the connector tubes could be leaking, or the injectors, which would explain the knocking, but could that explain the pressure in the fuel tank too? I've never heard of that happening before...
