Just reinstalled everything after machining the head, and putting on twins. I have DD3's, a FASS, mad ecm, drag comp (turned off at the moment).
Before reinstalling the DD3's, I noticed that one of the holes, in one of the nozzles was blocked. I'm not sure by what. It only had 6 of 7 holes open. The other nozzles were all fine. I reinstalled them anyways, figuring that I would just order new nozzles or injectors anyways. Since I've been waiting on the new ones though, I've been running these.
I have a couple issues, but I'm not sure if it is from the nozzle, or something else.
The truck is hard to start when it's cold. Fine when it's warm.
There is a slight knocking sound, (NOT intermittent - very steady in timing. )
The truck also smokes (black) quite a bit now, even with the drag comp off, and only using light throttle. I know the turbo seals take a little while to break in, but this seems excessive.
Would all this be caused by that one nozzle being clogged? Could I have caused any damage by running it with that one hole blocked? I have been taking it very easy on the motor to break everything in otherwise...
Or should I be looking for something more serious?
