Adam,
I'll see if I can explain this. I clicked on the link you gave in your post and that showed me the picture. Next, I right clicked on your pic and that brings up a pop-up menu. At the bottom of that, click on properties. Then, highlight the Address (URL) of the pic. Right click on the highlighted address and select Copy. Then, when you want to put it in your post, use the UBB code #ad
with no spaces between the code and address. Here is a explanation of UBB codes. https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb//ubbcode.html
Hope this helps. #ad

Still trying to contact a couple of people, will try tomorrow. Hoping to have a bumper Making a trip out west late June, would be glad to detour along the way for a new rear bumper! Steve W.

Sag,
I got some numbers, Around 425$ but I cannot be sure that it will look exactly like that one on the above posted picture. Without seeing one in person to see the dimentions. The one i would build i would be for sure that it would be just as strong if not stronger. I just thought i would post what i think it would cost to build one. I have no idea what you Can buy one for. it might be alot cheaper I don't know. the steel i priced was 4"x8" tube with 1/4" wall and 1 1/4" square tube for the top part this is 1/8" thick I have the 1/2" steel for the mounting and the bolts.
I have a bumper made out of 8" square by 1/4" thick laying down in the garage that i had on the truck before this one, needs some grinding I will take some pictures of it and pose them you might be interested in it?
Well let me know
Adam

Adam; Yep, I'm interested. Would the bumper have the swing tire carriers similar to Rickard bumper on Andy's truck? Also, just trying to figure out how the hitch would work. Would the new bumper work with the current factory hitch or be something built into the new bumper? You're not too far from this area and this could work out well if you think you can do it. Steve

I spoke with the guy at Hanson Enterprises (see the link posted by Brian Meadows above) after looking at their web site. Check out the site - they have a good picture of a rear one on a Ram. Reasonably close to Andy's above without the swing-out racks. Hanson's retains the stock hitch. You can get them with or without the backup light cutouts, and you can get your own lights or he can supply them. He said he'd consider a group purchase, but I don't have the time to pursue that for us all (does someone want to check that out?).

He quoted approx. 650 bones, unpainted. Cutouts for lights are 95 more. Don't know what he'd give us for a group discount.

Jay

Haven't been able to reach anyone at Hanson-- phone just keeps ringing w/no answering machine. Anybody else think they can build something very similar to this bumper, tire carrier and all? There's got to be a company capable out there that's capable of building this. SWW
