There is not much said here about them, so here is my story!!!

I just installed them today. It took about 1 1/2 hrs for the first side, taking time to figure out the instructions. ( my better half says I lacking there ) The second side - for her- was about an hour. They look like a nice quality piece, I hope so for $349 a pair.

The instuctions are shallow. It lists the drill bit sizes and later says to drill but there is no reference to size. So, use the dimentions form the book and then put it down and assemble!!

If you are not familiar with them, they are electric and drop down when the door opens and of course raise when the door closes. They are fast , I'd guess about 1 second to move either direction. .

I also moved the oil mess/breather to the frame behind the lf wheel.

Fox: Glad the steps are installed and work good. Hope they hold up for you.

The Rancho shocks you sold me at the Edwardsville truck rally were for a Chevy Blaser and not a Ram 2500. I'm sure you did not know that . I sent you an E-mail in an effort to work out how I can return them to you. If you would E-mail me at -- email address removed -- we can work out the exchange .

Fox,

Was wondering where you drill thru to mount them, and do they have like a power cord that wires directly to the battery, with a switch wire going to the dome light switch? Thanks for any explaination here.

Gene sorry about that! Great counter work from Summit. I'll email you tonight. Some friends called and said our e-mail wasn't working so keep trying.

Ursa, you will drill thru the pinch weld under the door area, and again up thru the floor to use blind nuts. The kit comes with a 3 wire harness. The red wire goes to the bat +, green to bat - and the brown to an extra door pin switch. I put mine down about 4 " from the other pin switch and removed the kick panel for access.

I've played all day with then. Like a kid.

my buddy has them

Had them on for a few years before one started acting up.

They gladly sent him a new one at no charge.

When he installed that one, it looked the same, but I guess due to tolerances... . after he mounted the new one hangs up.

Works fine off the truck, hanges up on the truck. He tried slotting holes and such. . but still hanges up. He called them back and they said that it happens if the unit becomes "twisted" when it's mounted.

I dont know if he resolved the problem or not.
