:D :D Went with a set of SS Westin nerf bars. 5 body/frame mounts and 2 bar bolts per side and it was all done. 35 minutes per side.

I think they look great and are very solid.

BTW, they the same for the 1500 2002 models.

I finally installed them. Really, I even updated my signature. :)

I like them a lot. So does my wife. I definitely plan on getting a rear set, but it's not a priority at this point (I don't have a ton of back seat passengers).

The install wasn't too bad. I did it over a day and a half this weekend. The door pin switches were the worst part by far. Figuring out where to put them and routing the wiring was a PITA. I'd say that was 70% of the install. The steps themselves were very straightforward, no special tools needed. The bolts that went inside crossmembers and such had long strips of metal attached to them so you could fish them through and then cut off the excess. You can see the 3 of them sitting on their side in the box in the 2nd picture way back up there.

I did end up canning the whole fuse block idea. I just couldn't find a spot to put the block under the hood that I liked. The usual spot to the rear of the passenger battery was already occupied somewhat (DTT voltage regulator). In the end I decided that since there are 2 batteries, I'd only have 2 steps going to each battery, and that's not so bad.

I haven't taken any pictures yet, but once I find the digital camera I'll take some and post them.

Oh, and I did take the logos off. . One was on crooked, and they peeled off with very little effort.

The only real issue was some interference with the parking brake cable on the driver's side. . But that was "persuaded" into place, and it all works fine (including the brake :)).
