Hey guys, I'm going to try to install my Kodiaks today, now I've heard some not so inspiring things about the bolts that go through the floor, about those inserts that kinda act like anchors. How do they go in? The instructions say that they recomend purchasing a disposable tool to install those inserts (which is good to know after you receive your steps!). Anyway, is the tool the only way to get those inserts in? Or is there another shadetree trick? Or should I just find a nut to use on those bolts and just nut and bolt it through the floor? Thanks for any info... ... .

You can set them with a bolt and nut. Thread the nut onto the bolt than thread the anchor onto the bolt, just so the bolt is flush with the bottom of the anchor. Turn the nut down until it contacts the face of the anchor. Insert in hole and while holding the bolt head from turning, tighten down on the nut. This will set the anchor.

That is if these "instructions" make any sense at all.

Whew! They're on the truck, other then kinda wrestling with the drivers side door switch and one anchor not, well anchoring, the job was interesting not the easiest project but a good experience. The steps are cool, found myself opening and closing the door over and over:D .
