Any one see the Ambassador for Japan "DEMANDING" on TV?

Pics finally!

Hi Guys, has anyone been around a D20s track loader. I was wanting a small loader but more modern than the TD 340 IH that I used to have. How much does it weigh? How many yard bucket? Any pro's or con's to this machine? Thanks Shannon

Shannon, Komatsu makes some good stuff, never run their loaders but have run their excavators. If you are looking for a used trackloader see if you can find a JD 450 (loader may have had another number than dozer) , they are a good unit, most have 4 in 1 buckets.

Everybody watch!!!!
DITTO ON ILLFLEM!!!

Komatsu track loaders are rare in these parts, not like their dozers. Maybe a reason?
I would go with a JD, parts are a lot cheaper than Komatso or Cat, Prolly IH for that matter. And they are pretty durable. Nice to operate too.
Is the price right on that D20?

Plowboy,

Don't know about a D20, but if you stay the same size as your IH TD340, look for a IH 500 Series C or E or a JD 350. The JD 450 is the next size up and so is the IH 100 Series C or E. The IH 100C and E have wet steering clutch and brake systems and a full powershift/torque converter transmsission, and are very reliable. It's the only loader in it's size class with these features. Many were sold with 4 in 1 buckets and rippers on the back.

Im also with illflem on this... not sure what they weigh though. The CAT stuff is nice equipment (although all the smaller units are built in Japan~!)(so Im told) but they are expensive to maintain. The JD's have always treated us well... . on a side note, the larger Komatsu excavators dont work down here... they are constantly snapping pins as the steel isnt hard enough to dig in our limerock base. For that, we depend on Cat. As a personal choice on those units, the Komatsu's move too fast anyway... I prefer the action of the Cat and Koering units.
