Old Tires Sold As New

Downshifting AT

i have a 2002 dodge ram 2500 cummins i put kool vue mirrors on the truck and my passenger works fine but when i go to the driver side it only goes down and nothing more but when i go to turn the Nobe to make them come inward my passenger starts to go that way when it should be the drivers side and this is the 2 mirror so does any body no about this:confused: need help p. s i put back on stock mirror and it works fine and also the passenger works fine thanks

I took a look at the wiring diagram for the power mirrors, and unless there's some really creative wiring going on with the Kool-Vue mirrors, I can't see how you would get the symptooms you describe.

Let's clarify:

Your truck has a stock power mirror switch that works perfectly with the stock power mirrors. But when you do NOTHING other than plug in the new Kool-Vue mirrors to the connectors in the doors, the passenger mirror works perfectly but the driver's mirror will only go down (NOT UP, RIGHT, OR LEFT?). Also, when you try to adjust the driver's mirror right or left, the passenger's mirror moves instead and the driver's doesn't?

Do I have this correct?

Have you tried unplugging the passenger's Kool-Vue mirror to see if that makes any difference when trying to adjust the driver's Kool-Vue mirror?

Are there any other installation details you can share with us? For example, do the Kool-Vue mirrors have connectors which plug into the connectors in the Dodge door, or are you splicing wires.

kool vue

yes i tried that and it just blowing fuse and to count 6 of them so far so i call where i got them and then i called kool vue and she said that i send them back becouse thay are haveing something going on with them so she said wait about a mouth so thay can fix

Ah ha!

Now you mention you were blowing fuses! Deduct two points for withholding information! :)

Blowing fuses makes perfect sense. My guess is a couple of the wires are short inside the driver's Kool-Vue mirror.
