I just had the KORE Recon kit installed, and I have an issue I’m hoping someone can help with.

The alignment is just not correct. It pulls to the left pretty good. They charged me for Alignment and then said there not much you can do with the Dodge to align them, and the Kore kit re-positions the whole axel out to much with out the use of a pitman arm. Now I will be the first to say I do not know much about the Dodge suspension; however, I just do not believe much of this story. The guy seems willing to work with me to get it aligned up the best he can. He called some shops in Utah and says he talked to Kore and such and says there are some things he can try, but he’s not sure if they will work. He asked me if I had any ideas that he could try, so I’m turning to you all for help.

I guess my question to those of you running a Kore Suspension is, did any of you have alignment issues, and if so what did you do or have done to fix it?? Or, is this something I have to learn to deal with??? I sure hope not….

I'd suggest a Thuren adjustable trackbar, available through Thuren,Carli or Lorenz. It will re-center your axle. Incidentally,my '07 had zero pull with my Lorenz setup even before the Thuren trackbar upgrade. I would get the Thuren trackbar, and maybe take it to a different alignment shop.

Heck, I wish I was in Bend, to talk to Marek... I'm not driving back to Bend for another 4 to 6 weeks, when my contract is up here in Texas. I'm going to try and call Marek later today when they should be open. I bought the system from Marek anyway...

I have never had any alignment issues with more KORE Race system. It actually handles better than stock. The geometry of the steering sytem should be the same after you installed the sytem. I don't have any experice with bad alginments so I am not much help to you. I hope you get it figured out... ... keep us posted.

OK; called Marek, and he gave me something real simple to try. I'll give it a shot after my new Tires go on in the Morning. He said just let about 20 PSI out of my Steering Dampner, and then see how she drives. . Make sense to me, I hope it works. .

I'll second what Marek said, I installed a KORE steering dampner on my stock suspension and it started pulling to the left, The dampner comes charged with 200psi from the factory, sometimes it causes the truck to steer to the left.

Be careful though I've heard there is very little volume of Nitrogen in the dampner so its easy to let too much out.

I can't find the post, But I think I read on here somewhere that just checking the pressure with a gauge will drop the pressure by 20psi each time.

Thuren trackbar.

Bajabob,

Please explain the benifts of a Thuren Track bar, and how it will help???
When you lift these trucks, the axle is pulled to the driver side. Thuren sells an adjustable trackbar to enable us to re-center the axle to stock configuration. The end links are higher quality than stock also. The author's problem sounds like it has been resolved by lowering the pressure somewhat in the steering stabilizer. I didn't have any issues after my Lorenz 2. 25 system which lifted the front 2". The Thuren bar centered the axle and tightened up everything a bit. I still haven't had the truck aligned and tires are wearing perfect. I'm almost afraid to take it in. "If it's not broken, don't fix it" comes to mind.

130psi and it is tracking back to straight again...

Bajabob,

Thank you for the explaination, maybe I'll add one of those this spring... .
