I installed a DSS back in Jan '04 and was satisfied. Then in June of this year I installed the Kore Leveling kit to accomodate the winch and bumpers that I installed. I had to remove the DSS due to the 2" lowering blocks that come with the Kore kit for the stabilizer bar. This puts the bar right where the bracket for the self centering bearing is.

Have any of you encountered this and do you have a solution ?

Yep, ran into the same problem, ended up making some shims, seem to think about a 3/8 inch thick, to put under the drop blocks that Kore sends you. thise ends up dropping the sway bar enough to put the dss above it . I guess if you wanted to go fancy you could machine new drop blocks that are 3/8 inch taller. Worked for me for 2 years now.

OK. Have you noticed any unusual alignment of the stabilizer bar with the drop links? I mean is the bar still somewhat parallel to the ground and the axle or is there an angle where the bar meets the busings on the drop links.

Have you had to replace the sway bar bushings?

Also, how does the truck handle? Seems that I recall reading that it is important for the bar to be parallel to the ground at each end in order for it to work properly.

The purpose of the drop blocks is to maintain the original sway bar geometry, like you said I think pretty important(Kore seems to think so), The extra 3/8 of an inch is not going to make any difference. I was told like you indicated, you don't want any crazy angles at the swaybar/droplink connection (A lift without drop blocks for example)I have not replaced the sway bar bushings or links, but after 100k miles on mine is probably not a bad idea. Handling is typical Dodge, never really noticed a difference after the leveling kit

Hi I was wondering with the drop blocks, dds, and the spacer is the bolts that come with the Kore Level kit are long enough for this or did you replace the bolts with loner ones? I am planing on ordering the kit some time next month and I already have a dds on the truck and was wondering if the bolts would still work.

Thanks for any info.

RegCabGuy is right.

Ditch the blocks, install the DSS and get longer end links. Carli has them on the way to me now. Will be reinstalling the DSS with new steering and end links this weekend.

Blocks are cheaper than end links. Just like cheaper than different springs to lift a vehicle.

Thanks, RegCabGuy.
