I have seen ads for a leveling kit from Kore suspensions. Has anyone installed it? Like it? How much did it cost and where did you get it from? Easy to install?

It's more than a leveling kit. You get front springs, a rear mini-pack and a full set of shocks. It's a suspension system, and you do get what you pay for.

If you just want looks, get a spacer and be done with it.

If you want a great balanced ride, go for the KORE system.

I carry HD spings and mini packs. I will sell items seperately or in a kit. I think you will find our prices very reasonable.

I set out the same way you did, and was astonished by the asking prices of "Quality" suspension products on the market. I put my own kit together that is very cost effective, and has race proven Sway-a-Way shocks that better fit the Dodge application.

Kore actually makes a leveling kit as well. It is the Pace minus the rear springs. I have talked to DRC about this. I think its around $800.

The KORE springs and shocks will make a HUGE difference in the ride. I'd bet changing the front only will still make you grin at the difference.

Well worth the money, IMO. Especially when you consider the research and testing that have gone into their products.

Like JCleary said - for looks, you can get spacers. But, you'll still have the stock ride quality. Only you can decide the results you expect when you start changing parts. Do the research, and make a wise choice.

Hope this helps,

John

Hi guys,

I have had a lot of calls lately about leveling kits. We no longer stock the leveling kit. The Pace system, now called the Recon is a complete system and includes all the nice accessories that KORE manufactures. It also includes the HD coil that even I can't bend. Do a search and see what works, what we have broken, and why we have chosen the parts we use. It is clearly stated in early threads that the testing is there. Racing has proven the products, and satisfied customers say it all... .

Greg, I come in peace... :D

If you say that your Race kit/products are "Race Proven" I could say the same about any one of LORENZ kits or products. ;)

I won't say our Kits are "Race Proven" because they aren't. Kent has said it many times before, and I applaud him for his honesty. His Race truck does not use the same equipment he sells, thus the KORE "Race system" is not "Race Proven. "

I would like to save that Race classification for guys who really sell "Race Proven" bolt on kits because they deserve the classification with the work they put into it. The Dodge/Cummings will not facilitate a true bolt on "Race" worthy system because it is just too heavy. A Toyota will facilitate a true bolt-on "Race Proven" kit like the 18" ESB Fabrication kit or the Sexy 17" ESB Kit that Mike sells. We start with a Dodge truck that weighs too much to Race with "bolt-on" equipment. Though we can make a Dodge run like a bat out of hell with bolt-ons, We can't make a "Race Proven" Cummins Turbo Diesel "Bolt-on" kit.

I hope you or Kent will explain the differences of the Race Truck's springs and shocks and why a single 2. 5" shock is not sufficient in Race conditions under the mighty Cummings.

The money shot!

My wife is getting this kit on her Toyota for MY birthday. Sway-a-Way shocks of course.

I'm really not trying to be ugly or stir up trouble, but this spelling harms your credibility in my book. I know you don't make parts specifically for the Cummins motor, but if you're going to market to my Cummins Diesel niche', I want to at least feel like you're "one of my kind".

Best of luck, and take care.

Greg and Sean missed both of you at glamis for some real torture on your suspensions. Bob sure put a beating on the Kore kit but let me tell you that no suspension on a 1 ton truck is going to work at glamis. I was hoping you guys were there to show us how your stuff works.

But one thing i noticed about regular suspension compared to Kore is that Bob was driving about twice as fast as i was through the semi rough stuff. To bad Carli,Lorenz and Greg didnt make it for the -FACE OFF-.

It looks like you guys had the desert to yourselves! Bob kept egging me on to go with you guys but seeing as I've made it out 3 times this season and Im going next weekend, I just couldn't justify another run this month. I'll be out there with my regular group this weekend (19th). I send out an open invite to meet up at the hill.

Your right a regular set up just can't hang over 2ft whoops. I'm revalving this week to see what I can get out of the truck w/o making my teeth chatter while daily driving. I'm curious if you tried touching your 5100 Bilsteins to see how hot they got? Did that short bed 2nd gen work any better with the shorter wheel base?

I dig the different whip set ups. I wanted to set mine up in the stake bed hole but figured it was too much trouble and not enough room for my hands to get down there. It ended up on the rear bumper with a quick disconnect.

Also, the 1000 is right around the corner and I've read Carli has been buisy pre-running the course. Lucky son of a gun has a co-dog seat! Maybe he'll share the experience with us... ? Good luck Sage and team.

We missed having ANY competition out there. We pulled out a lot of stuck Fords. Jakes shocks were about 107 Degrees but he was taking it easy, this was his first off-road trip.

The Kore set-up is deceiving! You don't appreciate it till you look in the mirror and nobody is there. Jason had plenty of power (500+hp)in his shortbed but couldnt keep his tires on the ground and the frame off the bumpstops.

I am sure people watching will be at the Dodge stores laying down some cash. I still have paper plates on mine but I Owned the dunes . Any where I pointed it she went with style Oo. . I hope to be getting a short video of one of the climbs soon, but it was just taken from a phone,so we''ll see.

Nope, the short bed doesn't do any better out there. I was bouncing around quite a bit. The difference in ride between my truck and Bob's truck was night and day. He could take things a lot faster than I could've hoped to and he didn't hit his bumpstops nearly as hard as I did.

I wish I could've kept my tires on the ground, I would still have four wheel drive... I broke something in my axle. I guess that's what you get when you have 500+ horsepower and two or three feet of air...

Mr. Lorenz

I have The DRC race system, and from a customers stand point I have to say the Kore product may not be "race quality" but your shock towers do not have a "Perfesional Quality" look to them. They look like something the "back Yard" fab guy put together. The Thuren Fab, shock towers look better than yours do. So my point is when I am spending my WAM. I want something that work well "very well" first and looks like it works very well second. Remember the first impression is the most important. I'm not saying your system is junk I'm saying refine your visible parts to give that WOW reaction you know your whole system gives. Remember Men are visual people and like all "things" to have that WOW look. That is why we will spend 10G's of WAM on an upgrade for the lady in our life. We want the WOW in our lives.
