Is It My Imagination Or Did Kore's Suspension And Accessory Prices Just Jump A Few Hundred Dollars??? What The Hell Is Up With That?

i dont know if it did or not as i have never looked at the Kore stuff. i know Steel and aluminum prices SUCK right now..... maybe thats it.

supply + demand = cost. maybe they are low on supplies.

grant

Yes,

All of the prices went up 10% due to the high cost of manufacturing and materials. The quality is job 1 at KORE and they will not skimp on material to save money.

Some people have called me asking why the prices seem to be higher than 10%. All systems now include HD Diesel Coils, Billet Drop Blocks, Bump Stops, Mini Paks and shocks. The Ultra High Performance stuff also includes limit straps. This is the way it should have been from the beginning. The systems are now complete and there is nothing to add on.

On another note. I have been informed that the KORE/ Weld wheel is in limited supply and will never be reproduced. Kore has maybe 10 more complete sets of the hub centric/ lug centric wheels available. Better hurry and get some if you have been on the fence. Weld will make a 6. 26" backspaced wheel but not one that is hub centric.

If you have any questions about the price increase. Feel free to call me 8-5 Monday through Friday and even Saturdays too.

I think maybe they know that since their product is as good as it is, they can charge more for it too, as I recall they wouldn't budge on a huge group purchase even, seems kind of odd, just my two bits... .

I did a group purchase and gave a substantial discount?

Greg

greg,

didnt all the diesel packages (pace, chase and race) come with HD DIESEL coils, mini paks, and shocks? 580 dollar increase on top of 2500 dollars is a long way from 10%! sounds like fuzzy math to mee

and i thought steel and aluminum prices have been high for a good while now. . ?

Saccowboy,

All the diesel packages came with Diesel coils. Not HD Diesel coils. They are a little heavier and raised the front of my truck 2. 75 inches. The new kits also come with the billet drop blocks now too. Each of these was an additional C-note when I bought my system.

Kore will not budge on pricing because they cannot undercut their dealers. If Kore gave customer-direct deals, then their dealers would lose out on sales, and Kore would quickly lose dealers. I'm sure Greg (and others) would be more than annoyed if Kore was giving deep discounts direct to the public.

Most manufacturers are this way. That's why you always see MSRP prices on the manufacturers sites.

Also, manufacturers would like to have their dealers charge full retail, but they cannot dictate what a dealer charges, just the MAP, or Minimum Advertised Price. This is why you're often better off buying from the "little guy. "

JCleary,

Thanks for the nice compliment but, I not such a little guy... . :D

Saccowboy,

You are correct, the systems did come with springs, just not HD coils. Spooled up already explianed why the additional cost. Add up the springs, BDB, Limit straps and you get something around $300... ... ..... Add that on to the price before the increase and then add in 10%... ... . Doesn't seem to fuzzy to me! Give us a call, like I said, and I can help you with anything you need.

Enjoy,

Greg/DRC

Group Buy....

I must first apologize for my lack of understanding... . I just assumed in following the (Kore Suspension Group Buy) that the excellent discount which you are referring to, was only offered to a very select few people, I was unaware that these were made available to the other how many people that were lined up waiting to spend their money. Is there currently a TDR member discount?, if so, is there a current price list which is available to peruse? Once again I apologize for my misconception, and by no means do I in any way want to make it sound like the Kore product line is anything other than the best, as I personally hope someday to be able to grace my truck with it's greatness too, I would just like to see what sort of dollar value one would be looking at to obtain it.

Thanks

KORE's stuff has gone from pricey, to obscene.

My truck stay stock if all they're going to do is raise the prices.

I can see a price gain on metal products with the prices of all metals going threw the roof, but hey if you don,t want to buy from Kore, then don,t. You should not bash them too bad. My take is,buy some other product with the same quality,if there is one out there. I am a firm believer you get what you pay for. Lighten up a little. coobie :)

People who can afford it understand. Some people are able to see the value in the systems that Kent provides.

I'm not attempting to start a war. Please don't take this personally, Tim.

I don't know about the suspension prices but why in the he!! would I want to buy a set of wheels knowing that if I bent one it could not be replaced because they are never going to make them again.

Expensive or not, its Kent's perogative to sell his systems for what he wo sell them for. He may lose some sales over it, but thants thats his decision. I for one know that I can't afford his system, or Id buy it. The price increase just means even more so that I can't afford it.

Hey Tim- pardon my flippant reply- you bought a Ram vice... I don't know -flame a lesser brand... because you wanted quality. I think that if you could wrangle a ride in one of the Kore trucks off-road NOT WITH BOARDMAN* you'll appreciate the value in the kit. For me, it was worth saving up to get the kit.

* He'll scare you.

The Other Greg

:D

Since everyone else has an opinion, here's mine. I don't think the amount of money that something cost actually reflects the value of something. . The amount of money you can afford to spend on something has no bearing on ones intelligence. . To some, KORES products are worth everything, regardless of cost. . For others, it's worth nothing- regardless of cost. . If you need something, then you need it. .
