Well, I finally lifted my truck. Went with a Kore Recon, and 35" Toyo MT's. I kept my existing Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels. I think it turned out very nice looking:

To answer/confirm questions I previously posted here. 1) A 35" Toyo MT WILL fit in the spare tire location Oo. However 2) 35" Toyo's on MT wheels with 5" backspace WILL rub #@$%!

Oddly, it only rubs on the left side. It rubs slightly on the edge of the fender (behind the tire) and liner. Not sure what I'll do about it yet.

But, I think she looks good if I do say so myself! :-laf

Rides and drives great also. And the lift was pretty easy to do. The directions were missing a few things, that I let Kore know about. Oh, and today on the highway, somehow lost the bolt that was holding one end of the steering stabilizer on and it fell dragging on the highway! But, just a little road rash, it will be fine.

It may be rubbing on one side and not the other because the front wheels are no longer centered under the vehicle. I did not believe this until I was in the midst of curing my death wobble (which ended up being attributed to worn out tires) when my mechanic buddy took me out and showed me how that lifting the truck without lengthening the track bar had made the front wheels no longer symetrical in form and distance to the vehicle frame. This can be fixed by adding an adjustable track bar. Kore installed my suspension.

Yes, I've done a lot of lifts on Jeeps which have the same front setup, and my Jeep does have an adjustable track bar. I thought about that also. I measured fairly quickly last night on the truck and it seems pretty close to centered, but I need to do it more exact. Then I wonder if that would just make it rub on both sides :)

Yep, w/ the trac bar... ... ... ... . Wheel backspacing (5. 5"-6") w/ no wider than 9" will not rub.

Well, these wheels are 9" but 5" backspacing, so I know I'm marginal. Can anyone recommend an adjustable track bar? Kore said theirs is being redesigned, so they have none to sell right now.

Tracbar sources.

Carli,Lorenz and Thuren himself sell a great one. Lorenz's is zinc plated. They're all Thuren's product.

What do you mean '1/2" control arms' ? Are you saying 1/2" longer? If so, how?

Yeah, 1/2" longer than the stockers (KORE Chase Arms, Carli CA's, Thuren Ca's). They all sell longer control arms 1/2". There are some other companies out there, but know nothing really about them other than the ones I mentioned. It will center your axle from back to front.

When you raised your frontend. Your axles moved a back a little. Also you can get your castor back w/ alignment w/ the 1/2" longer w/ your suspension.

It rides great. First, with the lift and my old 33" Procom Extreme A/T's, it felt a little firmer. With the Toyo's, and lower pressure as recommended by Kore, it's softer, but still handles good. Went down a road tonight that was under construction (and technically closed to through traffic) and purposely went a little fast, and it just soaked it all up.
