Well after installing my KORE Pace system, all I can say is WOW!!! Oo. Oo. Oo. I feel like a kid in a candy store. The whole installation took me about 3 1/2 hours and Greg from DRC was available for questions at 11 PM on a Friday night, to answer a few questions. His customer service is first rate. I installed a set of Interco Super Swampers 35x12. 50R17's on stock rims and man this truck just glides over the wash boards at 50 MPH plus. It rides over these wash boards like my Polaris 700 ATV. I bet the race system must be even better.

I am still waiting for my DRC/KORE Race system to get here. I can't wait either Oo. I stopped by the post office and they said another 4-5 weeks   I really hate the USPS up here, everything gets broke or lost. I just hope all my parts get here undamaged. Can't wait to try it out, probably have the same reaction as everyone else :D :D :D

on my way back home to vegas i stopped by and talked to greg. he was kinda busy but he took some time to some me the whole shebang and answer alot of questions while my sons sat on his 4-wheeler. quite a few of my question were of the "new to the cummins" kind but he had no prob showing me his truck and that big a** air filter. started diggin for change in the couch as soon as i got home to throw in the piggy bank for a chase system.

Has anyone driven/compared the two? From reading their web site, you get the same springs with all the kits, Race to Pace. The main difference are the shocks. Hence, a race setup will hold up to hours of rough road, whereas the pace may manage, what, 30 minutes before suffering shock fade? Just guessing there.

Springs affect the stiffness/harshness of the ride more than any other component and I like their approach. In the very least I'm going with the Pace and if the better half looks away for a moment, I'll order the Chase setup. :)

The better the shock, the faster you can travel safely over the same terrain.

I have the 2. 5" Fox and haven't found their limit yet Oo.

I have driven in trucks equipped with both systems. Your are correct that the spring rates are the same in both systems. The difference is in the shock. The Bilstein 5100 shocks truly amaze me. It is the best system dollar to dollar on the market. The shocks do have limitations in the heavy "DRC Style" situations. Lofting a truck this big means serious shocks have to come into play. That is where the FOX Shox are at their best. In my opinion, there is no other option for the guy wanting to really rail off road. Not for the faint of heart! Bob has been on rides where we have driven at speeds and I can hardly wait to get him on one with the new FOX Race system.

The Pace system is the one I have chosen to install on our new 06 QC DRW towing monster. I will never jump this truck. My Wife will drive fast on washboard roads. That is why I chose the Pace. It is important to discuss driving styles with me before making a final decision. I can help you decide what best fits your style of driving. The difference is in what level of the " Oh *****" Factor you would like to experience... ... . !

Greg,

When will these heim joint systems be rattle free? You haven't heard from me in a while, but my truck has never been rattle free (except for 2 weeks) total in the whole time I've had this system on my truck. I just don't have the time to drive all the way to San Jose to "Rockstar Engineering" or down to the desert to see you. Les Schwab Tires and myself have been under this truck 14 times to no avail. stopping the rediculous rattle at low speeds. Don't hear it or feel it all all above 30 miles an hour or so.

The silicone trick didn't work for me. Maybe I need to disassemble the whole front end and use a whole tube of silicone in each heim joint location?

For what it's worth, I'm really glad most of your customers are happy with DRC and Kore. I love the suspension, but the headache/heartache of hearing this truck rattle EVERYDAY drives me nuts, and I have no local support.

When are you coming up to Sonoma County?

You can e-mail me @ -- email address removed --.

Thanks Greg,
