I have a 2006 2500 Mega Cab with 6sp manual and am considering buying a KORE suspension system. I am interested in feedback (Negative/Positive) from anyone who has installed any of their systems. Priceing information would also be helpfull.

can't print prices in the forums.

As far as the KORE. I would do it again in less than a heartbeat. Even with the Recon system. Leveled the truck and improved the ride and handling immensely.

I just installed the Kore Chase series over the weekend. It was super easy and went quickly. The initial response for me is positive. When you hit the bigger bumps they don't seem to feel any bigger than the little ones. Once the suspension is in motion it soaks up the bumps beyond the initial little bump, if that makes sense.

I've had my "Pace" system, which was their entry level system, for about a year and a half now. It only took about 6 months for the front springs to sag. If you want a lift just for looks like I did, don't waste your money on Kore.

Big P,

How were you able to tell the front springs were sagging? Did Kore replace them for you? I've had my "Pace" system for close to 2 years and haven't had a problem yet.

I just have the KORE HD Leveling kit, not the full suspension system. It is a good kit, smoothed out all the bumps. If I had it to do over again, I would go with a full kit but it might not be KORE as there is some good kits out now that wern't available when I put mine in.

How do you know the difference in the coils RankRam? What is the VR - Variable Rate? Mine have a driver and passenger stamped on them. I got them from DRC just before Greg passed away, he told me they were variable rate when I spoke with him.

I'm pretty sure that I don't have the VR rate coils.

I put my lift on in late Sept. 05, along with my 325/60/18 tires. The tires rubbed on the back side of the fender closer to the door. As the front axle is lifted it comes closer to the rear fender. The tires were on for almost 2 months until I took them off for the winter. When I put them on last spring, there was now 1/2-3/4" clearance, where before there was a slight rub. The only way that could be, was if the the springs sagged, bringing the axle forward towards the front of the truck. I spent alot of time trying to get the stance of my truck just right for me. I think I set it at about a 1 1/2" rake, now it looks more like the 2-2 1/2" factory rake.

I have never contacted Kore about the problem.

I have a 2005 3500 drw quad cab. I replaced the spacer type front end leveling and oem shocks with Lorenz's front end leveling kit with Bilstein shocks and adjustable fox shocks in the rear. The difference was huge in terms of steering, maneuverability and stability loaded. The seemingly endless front to back bouncing after hitting a freeway bump is gone. This is just another possible solution that has worked for me and has helped my ride.

To me, KORE is hard to beat. It fits perfectly and performs exactly as advertised, just pick the kit/cost that is right for you. I can tell you that I have the base kit (now called Recon maybe) and unless you are nearly racing, it seems to handle everything very well. The handling difference over stock is significant - really.

The KORE kit is also expensive, particularly if, like me, you have to pay someone to install it (I did the rears myself - I don't mess with front ends though), but you are getting what you pay for.

I got the PACE setup (RECON now) from Greg :{ at DRC for my 97 extended cab long bed. Easy to install, even though I'm not a super mechanic. Rode a LOT better, especially on washboard dirt roads. My wife even noticed the difference. I towed with it and it worked fine. Someday, I'll probably do it on my 06, but I've other things to do first. Like pay off the truck.

I wil be installing KORE Chase system as soon as funds allow. Cant' wait! Kore stuff is expensive but, how many other suspension systems run in the Baja 1000 on the diesel Rams. just adding my 2 cents.

I have been very happy w/ my KORE chase system. Been running it for 2 years now. I am getting currious as to how the next step-up would feel. ;)

The install was strait forward as well even for one

Diesel Dan,

I just purchased and installed a nice low mileage KORE Chase system that has the Bilstein 7100's with the billet towers.

Unfortunately I don't have any info about how to install the limiting straps.

Do you or could you please post some pics that would help me with the limit strap install?

Thanks!!

I don't have any pics after i installed the straps. I will try to take some soon and post or e-mail them. They might be hard to see well as we are deep into a grimy winter and i havn't steam cleaned the underside of the truck.

I will see how they come out and advise

Is there anybody with more than the Kore leveling kit that actually tows? I tow about a 9000# camper around during camping seasons. Just wondering how a good size load effects the systems. I'm looking more at leveling right now... but have been known to get sidetracked and upgrade.
