I have a 1992 w-350 club cab with 150,000 miles on it. Now that it is cool out all of the time, I have witnessed some strange things. A) Light blue/white smoke at first start that dissappears after 1 mile of driving. B) <this is weird> After letting the truck cool down, not cool off, for about 2 hours, I am getting ridiculous amounts of white smoke. Any thoughts would help, and this truck is stock right now.

How long has this been happening? More than 1 tank of fuel?

Yes, this has been happening frequently since it has been getting colder out. It is weird because it does not produce the white smoke on the first start-up of the day, but on the following start-ups if the truck sits for awhile; normally 1-3 hours when the temp is in the thirtys or below. Also I just went over the truck, and it has all new filters.
Thanks

Are you using any fuel conditioners? Could it be a problem with the fuel trying to gel or is it not that cold yet? Maybe the winter blends are not in the stations yet?

I was going to email you some info, but you show no email address.
Do you have a factory repair manual, if so, then I can give you some pages to look at.

There intake air sensor is most likely the problem. It senses how cold it is and turns on the KSB when it feels it's needed. Put a test light to the KSB wire & on a cold motor it should light up. No light = no power to the KSB If you have power going to the KSB then the odds are you have a faulty KSB. You can temporarily jumper 12volts to the KSB & if your smoke problem goes away you know you're on the right track, replace the IAT sensor
