Alright, I just replaced the cold start sensors last winter, and now that the grid heater sensor isn't tripped for start up, the timing advance doesn't want to work all of the time. For instance, if I drive my truck and get the thing up to running temp, then park it so it only cools off enough to need advanced timing, the KSB doesn't come on. This is annoying, and was wondering if this could be a stuck solenoid? Has anyone else had this happen?

Thanks,

Russell

The grid heater sensor is the other temp sensor in the manifold. Maybe clean the connections and see if that helps.

As for the KSB not coming on when cold, check to see if there is power to it when cold and I don't know how to tell if its advancing at the pump other than by sound. . I just replaced my sensor and the wiring ends and found the new sensor to be way more sensitive to temperature changes. Again I can only tell by sound.

Anyone else??

Thanks

Finally got to check it out today, nope, no voltage there when it should be. Now I just need to figure out why my truck eats these sensors :D
