Loony Bin or Mensa Society?

Does anyone own and/or use a Kubota RTV900? What's been your experience?

I'm thinking of using it around the farm which is mostly open pasture land.

Never owned one, but I have considered one. They are SWEET!!! I would love to get one one day, but the Kubota ZD25 mower will come first!

Thanks. I see you own a couple of Kubotas. You must like "em. We have JD and Kubota dealers near the farm so we'll be looking for a farm tractor and loader this winter. I'm leaning towards the Kubota.

I've looked at them and they look nice. I couldn't get a test drive (I'm a park ranger), so we ordered one of the Bobcat carts. Very nice with "smart track" 4x4. Comes with a Kubota diesel or a Honda gas engine. We're getting the gas because all our other vehicles (Kawasaki Mules and one John Deere AMT 5 wheeler) are gas. I can't afford to have a seasonal employee make a fuelish mistake! We've been running the Kawasakis for years, but they do get expensive when things start going south. The rear cylinders constantly foul out and the carb can't be adjusted any further. If you get a Kubota, let us know how you like it.

Bill, check out www.utilityoffroad.com and you can dig around and find some of the info you are looking for. There are a couple RTV900 owners on there. Most of the people on there own Yamaha Rhinos and Polaris Rangers. I'm on there under my alias (Stoked). Look for me in the Mule section.

BTW, if you want to try out my diesel Mule, let me know. I can get it out to your place and you can bomb around for a bit.

So far, I really like my M9000. It has the Kubota loader and has a cab and 4x4 with the hydraulic shuttle. Nice tractor, comfortable cab and excellent fit and finish, which is typical of Kubota equipment. Their quality control is superior. They make one heck of a good engine too!

Thanks for the replies.

Jeff, thanks for the link. I'll look around. Also "muchos" thanks for your generous offer of your ATV. We're aren't going to use it on this place near Argyle, but are planning on using the ATV on a vacant piece of property we are purchasing in northeast Texas.
