Recently, I installed a SPS 66 on my 05.
I was surprised that is had a really bad surge between 1700 and 2000 (boost would go from 25 to 0 to 25 under moderate load), and made a WHOOSHING noise on the intake side which was pretty annoying.
After trouble shooting over the phone with Brady at II, he offered to send me a new SPS 66 immediately, but since I was going to be in Salt Lake City last week, I hooked up with him at his personal residence on Sunday to take him on a test drive. Brady was really surprised at how poorly my truck was running, and gave me a drive in his as well as Brett's 680 hp 04. 5. Wow, both are really impressive running trucks, and Brett's truck is down right scary. With his TST box on 5-5, it hit 50 psi immediately.
And talk about nice people, I was even invited to watch football in their home on their 60 inch plasma, and if I asked, I probably could have gotten dinner too. :-laf
Anyway, I came home with a new SPS 66 in a box and installed it along with the ATS manifold. Holy cow! It flat out rocks now. No more surging, no more Whooshing, and hits 40 psi now in a nano second with the edge box off! I haven't leaned on it yet but can't wait to put some fuel to it.
While in Salt Lake City, I dropped by EDGE and met with Aaron Stewart. While there, I was allowed to put my truck in their heated shop (nice since it was 19 outside at the time) and was able to swap my regular box and monitor for a new HOT JUICE unit. Everyone at EDGE is super friendly and I also got the tour of the facility, I felt like I was filming Two Guys Garage with the special treatment that I received. The best part was the upgrade cost me nothing, zippo! TST charges anywhere from $50 to $100 so I hear for any upgrading, so this fact alone has made me a EDGE for Life customer. Its no wonder they are in the top ten fastest growing companies in Utah. Customer service is incredible.
Prior to going back to California, I also got the tour of II's shop, and its also a very impressive facility. Brady and Shane also took me to lunch at the local mexican restaurant, I just about passed out on spices. . funny, I was turning red, eyes watering, gagging, and Shane asks "Dude, are you okay?". It was a pleasure to talk shop with these two guys.
I have been playing with cars for over 35 years now, and have dealt with a ton of companies in my racing career. I can honestly say, Industrial Injection and EDGE are two of the premier companies that I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with, and I recommend both highly.
