Kudos to Paypal so far...

Ive have a paypal account for 10 yrs or so, never had a problem and have made many good purchases on Ebay over the years, but starting Thursday someone broke into my account and made 4 charges. I caught it today after Sunday services. I was in great shock to find them to almost 1000 bucks.

I called my bank and Paypal (surprised to be open on Easter Sunday ) and made them aware of the fraud. Paypal was allready acting on the tranactions and while on the phone walked me thru the correct screens I needed to complete . They informed me that the money was requested to go to India and that the IP address was in the same counrty. As of now, Im waiting to see if they come thru and block it completely.

How many of you have had problems with Paypal and security issues ?

Never had anyone mess with the paypal yet.

I had my CC number stolen. The bank called me because of "suspicious activity".

I didnt think charging $1000 at a sporting goods store would be suspicious given my buying pattern... ... but anyway they stopped it and sent me out a new card.

I never heard another word of it.

Im in the middle of changing every password I have, CC`s, ATM`s , forums, logins ect.

I`ve got about 50 or so... .

Taking advantage of 16 digits of code,case sentitive, ect.

Wish I didnt have to do it.
