Hey Kurt I sure would like to see an adapter so you could bolt this thing up to an HX-40 down pipe liked we talked about, it looks very promising and I sure would like to try one. ;)

blair I am set up to try one and still not santa claus at my doorstep

shoot just a little tweaking and she'd be in... ... ... ... i think i got enough juice to run the wastegate too

I know how I would set up for the wastegate too

he he hmmmmm how would I know... ... ..... hmm i put her in

Trial Basis?

BPINE, get your wallet out:)

Rubberneck asks:

"now back to turbos, HVAC are you saying no ez box, just dd3s and boost module and this thing pulls 40 psi???"

Yes "Rubberman", that's it precisely!!! Now most of the folks reading this topic probably don't know that a truck with the III injectors will hit 30/32 psi with a stock turbo. All we did was to change the turbo and read the gauges. We were knocking down 38/40 psi!!!:D This turbo is quicker and more potent then any single turbo I have tested. It's strengths are diversified into all the important areas we normally judge turbo performance. Those being lag, egt, drive pressure, sturdyness/longetivity. I'm still testing the B1, but I can't point out any fault with this platform.

HVAC,

How are the adapters for the turbo to downpipe working out? Was it a tough install & what is required to attach it to a 4" downpipe? I think a b-1 is in the near future for me but with only one hand (busted my left hand Wed. night) and easy install is important! I have emailed Kurt about setting one up for me with a downpipe and all so I could just bolt in (+ wouldn't have to cut up my downpipe just in case I would ever want to use it).

Thanks,

Doug

I do find a fault in this turbo--no wait there are 2----one... that it isn't on my truck for testing and 2... . why didn't it come out sooner---oh well twins for me I guess... ... . chris

Where You Been???

That you Chris???

I had you in mind for the first B1 but you dropped below the radar and we couldn't locate you.

Don't worry though, we have more B1's allocated for Performance Diesel customers of high merit:)

yea that's me-went stealth mode-----all of a sudden I need to work and there's not much time left for play-bummer-but I'm still lurking and trying to keep abreast of what's going on---chris

I just got off ph. w/"SlowKurt", he is on his way home from Phnx. , said to tell Kat Diesel he had good news for him, also said he would be posting in the morn. , but with his trk. , and the way he drives, it will take him at least 2 days to get home!!lol :D:D

Yogibear

How would you compare the B1 with other turbos you have had experience with.

The truck we worked on Friday is a hot rod and doesn't get subjected to any towing. We installed the B1 on the auto transmission truck and just had a ball with it!

Now then, you do a lot of towing and I'm curious to see what you have to say about the B1 in a towing capacity.

sea level and it is a dun rite... ... ... . but it is extremely fresh

only 5k on truck or there abouts

dunite vb and tc

Sounds like the B1 might be something I would like to try. Thanks to Brandon for helping me with the head gasket replacement. I am ready to rock and roll again.

Would someone PM me and let me know what it will take to get one installed?
