canderson... ..... I dunno what the lowest hp needed to run the b1 though??? that is a good question cuz we blocked the wastegate on last weeks install per hvac and KK

that is a relevent point... ... what hp level is the minimum to get the benefit of the b1

Nowell, I started towing with a Banks Stinger+, that was HX35 and 14cm hsing. with a large wastegate, this was before I found TDR. The hp wasn't bad, but not enough. I then got the PE edge, then the EZ. The hp gain was great, but egt's were too high, then when I got the DDII's, from you btw, they went out of sight! This was towing now, just playing around it was ok. Then I went back to 275's, was better but not good enough. Then traded with Brett and Taylor for the Comp. , I was only able to pull in the #2 in hills, and #3 on flats. Then got the KwikSpool, and was able to tow in #3 and #4, but had to watch pyro in #4. I like to not get over 1250* for any length of time, now with the B-1 I can run in 3 and 4 real easy, try to keep it in 3 for better fuel consumption. Since we went from the BHAF to stock airbox with the "Brandon" mod. , I think its much better, but haven't pulled with this setup yet. My records show the KwikSpool dropped me a good 200*, and the B-1, another 150*. I really like it, won't go back. The spool up is about the same, maybe a little better with the B-1, about 15 to 1600 rpm. I'm getting 44 to 45# boost. Kurt thinks we will get the egt's down at least nnother 100* with this airbox. Hope this answers your question.

Too loud for me, but I'm an old firt. I removed the 2 hoses, and will see if the filter minder pulls down, it hasn't yet, but haven't pulled with it yet, will be a few days before I go out. Its real quiet with the hoses off. I will then tape over the holes and see how that works.

I would love to have Doug's Air Bully Hood, but he won't let me try one. :D I even tried to trade him a 74 Vette for one, and he wouldn't go. I really think that would solve my problem.
