I know they make the Bilsteins for this truck but I had a set of Kyb's on my last truck and they were great. Problem is I have scoured the Internet and I cannot anywhere find a set of Monomax shocks for this truck. Do they not make them for this year and model?

thanks

Got a response from KYB and they do not make shocks for the 2014 models. They say that it is in the works though. Been this long I don't think it will happen. Oh well............

I'm glad they worked for you because I had a set of KYB Monomax shocks on my truck for about 1000 miles. Never did I feel a truck ride so incredibly stiff so I took them off. Even my dog hated the new ride and stopped wanting to ride in the bed. True story.....
The only reason I tried them was because the parts guy said that KYB replicated Bilsteins so they had to be the same or close. The experience also kept me from trying Bilsteins. :)

"Parts guy"...hmmm...(mwilson is excluded here of course)

I have no experience with KYB but lots with Bilstein and I've never been disappointed. The Bilsteins are firmer than stock but it's more of a controlled feel, not harsh.

Yeah.....it was a "parts guy" but we were looking at basic specs in comparison of each manufacture. It seemed legit at the time.....

That said, I've never talked bad about Bilsteins as I have no experience with them, only the KYB's. I hear good things about Bilsteins though so unless people are tolerant of harsh rides, they must be softer than the KYB's I tried out. :)

Last set of KYBs were stiff at first but after a few hundred miles they broke in well. I'll prob try the Bilsteins this time around. Heard good about them so.........
