Wouldn't it be nice to have L. E. D. 's all the way around on our trucks? I thought so... .

Searching online proved to be as productive as watching paint dry... . :D

Anyone? Anyone?

I was in an import shop the other day getting a replacement PIAA and they had plug in 1157 bulbs that were LED. About $15 each. I haven't got the scratch to be the test dummy. LOL. .

I have put LED lites on my flat bed and on all my trailers. I have been doing business with the guys at the link below. Good service and good products. And Great prices. Tell them I sent you. I don't think you will regret using these guys.

I don't make anything from these people. Just like the way they do business. Call and talk to them.

I'm an OEM Engineer. We use a lot of LED lighting for the low current draw, high reliability and life, and extra bright output.

I'd start with our biggest suppliers <a href=http://www.dialight.com target=_blank>Dialite</a> and <a href=http://www.truck-lite.com/tl/index.html target=_blank>Truck-Lite</a>.

$48 for 1157!!!  Holy S#!! thats a bundle of dough!!!

The ones I was lookin at were not anywhere near the quality of those thats for sure. They didn't have the side leds for reflection off of the lense for the tail light. Still would be pretty cool to have though. ;)

I have LED all the way around- including cab marker lights. I purchased all of it (except the LED replacement bulbs) from Parts Systems They have pretty good prices on LED stuff.

Kev

They have or You can order any of the 1157 or 3157 super brite leds from auto zone red or white $7. 00

Wow... I spent like at least an hour searching here and there and everywhere inbetween and only found stuff for class-8's and their trailers.....

Thanks guys/gals!! TDR kicks asphalt!

tntway,

I think it was HemiDart that tried red LEDs behind the red tail light lenses. I'm pretty sure he thought they were too dim and took them out.

The red ones work real well in the backup lights. If you have the white nights snip the backups and tie them into the common and major of the taillights , If the LEDS do not light reverse the bulb around , they are polarity sensitive.

LED Lamps...

I installed a set of Hella DuraLED LT lamps on my tailgate. Installed four DuraLED Amber Side Marker lamps; two per side.
