For those that replaced the clearance lamps on the fenders and tailgate of their trucks, did you use p#1274-a and 1274-r from Led-r-us. I can't tell on their website if these are the corrct ones. Any info would be appreciated.
I repalced all of mine and you need both. The r-is for the red lense, and the a-is for the amber lense. Good luck and oh yea, you will love the new look.
I think I understand, but I want to be sure. Are you saying the 1274's will fit in the current bases on the truck (2001 3500)? Also, are there wiring issues to deal with? Do they just plug in?
I need to know the same thing, I have a 2000 3500, I want to replace all the lights and the three on the tailgate. So will they fit the original bases and how do they wire in? Any help appreciated.
Yes they fit your existing bases. the lens is a sealed unit with 2 male contacts on the back. I have a silver truck and bought the new holder in crome just cause they were cheap and thought I might break the little locking tab on the end exchanging the lights. The new holder was exactly the same and went in with the 2 existing screws under the lenses. Gently pry one end out to remove lens. All the wiring is already in place.
no wiring, just snap em in! I have had mine on for 3 years now and so far ONE led "bulb" on ONE marker has met its maker (Each bilb has two rows of six "bulbs")
