went on vacation over the past 2 weeks and pulled my travel trailer and noticed that at times if rpms were not over 2k the truck lost power and the turbo could no longer be heard. started listening and noticed every time this happened i could no longer hear the turbo whine. it has been happening now even in 4th up into 6th gear. if i am over 2k you can hear the turbo pick back up and power is restored. I have FP. guage and it never goes below 10psi loaded and accelerating, but like i say the turbo noise seems to disapear and then the loss of power. anyone experience this before? I have an 02 4x4HO 6 speed.

check your waste gate it may be sticking closed and if it is the truck will over boost and de-fuel and you will get a lose of power, also it could be your MAP sensor, no real way to check it other then to replace it, i would also check clean and or replace your IAT sensor both sensors are located on the driver side of the towards to rear of the motor.

hope this helps a little
