Can anyone tell me if anyone offers ladder bars for the first generation extended cabs? Or, do i have to drag welder out. All i could find were a set of traction bars, and they looked cheap and short. Thanks.
I used a set from L and L products. I built drop brackets off the frame to get below the gas tank and bolted them to it. worked nice, I may have some pics in my rigs but cant remember. FYI a set of solid mounted latter bars will not let your suspension move due to the axle having to move backwards to compress. A dual pivit point at the front of the ladder bar is needed. I just used a shackle set up. Hope this helps.
i used cal-track bars on my 81 diesel ramcharger and it stopped axle wrap. it did have a hop at the line but i think it was due to front suspension. the 60 ft time of 1. 69 and e. t of 12. 08 could be inproved by other suspenion tuning .
